The Year 2 children had the best day at the 80th East Kent Ploughing Match at Quex Park on Wednesday.
We saw fantastic ploughs, old and new, ploughing the fields, wonderful Shire horses, dog agility, falconry displays, fruit and vegetable displays, and met the Coastguard, the Police and the Fire Service. The children had so much fun and smiled all day.
After learning about our topic ‘On the Beach’ reception were able to enjoy an ice cream that had kindly been purchased by Sue at broadstairs
The children in Bumblebee Class took inspiration from the short film ‘Taking Flight’ to create their own green screen videos of where the ‘Radio Flyer’
Year 2 have enjoyed conducting our own Goldilocks experiment – seeing which material of bowl retains heat the longest.
