Children as Leaders
At St Crispin’s Infant School, we are passionate about helping every child develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive. As part of our focus on our LEARN Values this term, we will be exploring what it means to demonstrate our Leadership value and how children can develop their own leadership skills.
Throughout the year, children will have opportunities to take on important responsibilities and contribute to school life through a range of pupil leadership groups. These will be led by staff and may include:
- School Council
- Eco Council
- Music Leaders
- Librarians
- Art Leaders
- Sports Leaders
- And other leadership opportunities as they arise
These groups will work on projects that make a real difference to our school community, helping children to develop skills such as communication, teamwork, decision-making, problem-solving and responsibility.
We are particularly excited that the children will also produce their own Leadership Newsletter three times a year. This will be shared with families to celebrate their achievements, showcase their projects and keep everyone updated on the positive impact they are making across the school.
We look forward to sharing the children’s leadership journey with you throughout the year.
